In 2007, architects Karine Fakhry and Diane Sawaya set up their studio in Beirut, where their practice addresses the built and natural environment through research-based contextual design, reexamining the disciplines of architecture, interior architecture, landscape interventions and media installations through a highly calibrated approach.
The way the community engages with architecture is central to their practice, as they seek to create long lasting experiences steeped in social context and human rapport. With a commitment to architecture that reappraises the aesthetics and functionality of each structure in relation to its environment, FAR Architects places the user at the core of their research and creative process.
